Today I had my first client meeting… a step closer to success

Some of you will know that I work for a Property Development Company/ Estate Agency and am in the process of learning the ins and outs of the property market. If you didn’t know, well now you know! Anyway today was the first client meeting I set up as part of our Bespoke search service and it was such an amazing experience! The meeting has made me see how far I have come, how much my life has changed, and the amount of potential life has if you will only grab every opportunity with both hands, pour your heart into it, and commit yourself to be humble to serve and learn. If you can do this then the world is yours for the taking!

A year ago I was struggling through university, thought I wanted to sing gospel music, and spent my holidays street fund raising to make extra cash. Now I’m in an office in Canary Wharf, working with some great people, have fantastic mentors who are committed to helping me succeed and am able to explore areas of my skill set that I would have never dreamed of. I wake up every day and thank God for placing me amongst such influential people and pray that I simply soak up their wisdom.

So what has this got to do with you? Every single day work as hard as you possibly can because there’s a lot more to your CV than grades. I would have never had this opportunity had I not been hard working, and committed to bettering myself.

It’s not rocket science.

About Plantain Periodicals

Hello! Welcome to the Plantain Periodicals blogs. The name stems from the kitchen moments I had with my friends at university cooking plantain and planning our lives together. I have used this space as a window into my mind and the way I make sense of all my experiences through writing. This is where I share those conversations and moments that happen inside my head as a young woman growing up in 21st century London. Hopefully you'll be entertained and also learn a thing or two. My main blog ad: My literature blog: NMx
